Poem

My Friendship

It's all started with a simple hi
and ends up with a wonderful smile
just a simple conversation brings
something in my emotion
and now we're apart
i know i leave something behind
that i hope you'll treasure somehow
my FRIENDSHIP.

Narrative

   Who's your Hero ?

When i heard the word superhero the first thing that comes in my mind is people who have a special ability, a superpowers. The one who save innocent people in the claws of evil/bad people. You'll often see them in movies, like spider man, superman, batman, x-men, ben10 etc. Those movies were not only adults but also for kids. Who enjoy watching it eventhough they dont understand it. They just enjoy watching it because its different from the cartoons they've watched. Although there were also a superheroes in the cartoons they watched. The movies like spider man caught their attention more because the character there is human being like them, you know much close to reality than the once in cartoons.

Superman was one of the most popular superheroes of all time, if i'm not mistaken his superpower is his strength, and also he can fly eventhough he doesnt have a wings, he only had his cape. When i was a kid i've tried to wore a cape to because i want to fly like superman. Superman also had the most ridiculous costume ever, if you already seen him you'll know what i mean. I remember when i was a kid i always wonder why do superheroes in movies wore a costume or a mask. Later i've known that they do that to hide their true identity because behind that mask lives a ordinary person like us. Anyway extraordinary people who had a superpower was just a character in the movie, in reality there is no such thing as superpowers that was just a fragment of imaginative mind of people.

You know what's good in reality, its the fact that you can be a real hero even if you dont have a superpowers. Like Jose Rizal for example, he dont have a superpowers but he became our national hero. You know why ? because he had a good heart, a willingness to help people who's in need. And fought for our country's freedom. I believe that there's a hero in every one's life. Because being a hero doesnt mean having a superpowers, it's about you willingness to help no matter what. Like our parents, who work hard to give us a good life and a good education. Our friends who  stand by us no matter how difficult the circumstances, who'll always there when we needed them. Our teachers who taught us what we needed to learn about life. So my hero for me is my parents, friends and teachers.

Descriptive

me myself and i

heyya my name is zery elexis lim and i'm writing a descriptive essay about myself. I'm a female 17 yrs old 5 feet and 2 inches tall and currently a freshmen student at informatics caloocan. I'm just like any ordinary teenager who loves music and anime. Especially kpop musis, i so love their music even though i dont really understand them. Some people say that i'm still childish despite my age because i still watch anime and cartoons thats why.

I'm a silent type of person because i dont like talking much. I'm moody too and i dont have a long patience and i get easily irratated. I can say i'm a loner too because i prefer to be alone sometimes that's why my friends was saying i'm an emo. Sometimes people say i'm a snob but thats not true they've just mistaken my quietness by being snob. Its true that i'm not friendly but im not snob i just dont want to be the one who will approach first because i hate rejection.

Though i dont have a lot of friends i have my cousins who's always there everytime i needed them.  The one who dont mind my insensetiveness, clumsyness and my annoying attitude. I know a lot of people hate for my attitude but i dont mind because for me that's natural and surely no matter what good you'll do people who hate you will always find a way to let you down.

Compare and Contrast

Anime and Cartoons

Anime and cartoons are both animated still images. They're both fiction and especially made to entertain people. Though some people say anime is just another genre for cartoons, others say that anime is just another name for cartoons they just call it anime in japan. But if you will ask me i'll just say anime and cartoons are both the same but they have a differences too. If you're watching anime and cartoons at the same time you can easily  tell the difference between the two. The way they're were drawn for example, you'll notice that anime characters had an almost perfect and most of the time exaggerated as far as the physical features is concerned while cartoons  look like deformed but resemblance to human can be spotted in various cartoons too. Anime also had a much good story than cartoons, maybe because cartoons was made to purely entertain unlike the anime you'll be entertain and learn at the same time.

According to history anime was originally came from japan while cartoons was from america. Unlike cartoons  anime had a genre, a genre is a term for category or any other forms of art. It just show that anime is not only aimed for kids but for adults too. There was a genre of anime like seinen, seinen was especially made for older men. While cartoons was especially aimed for kids, because cartoons usually intended to induce laughter. But i'm not saying that older people should not watch cartoons because i am for example i watched cartoons too. All i am just saying is that anime and cartoons can be the same but they were different in may ways too.

While anime in Japan refers to all animated productions, English dictionaries define the word as Japanese style of motion picture animation. The word anime is said to have been derived from the French term dessin animé while others claim that it was used as an abbreviation during the late 1970s. The word "Japanimation" was also in vogue in the 70s and 80s and referred to anime produced in Japan.
Cartoon, on the other hand , was initially used as a model or study for a painting. Derived from the word karton meaning strong or heavy paper, these were depicted by great artists like Leonardo da Vinci and gained appreciation in their own right. Over the turn of the centuries, the term cartoon was distanced from its original meaning and used excessively to define a humor picture with a caption or a dialogue.

Cause and Effect

Anime addiction

Starting in the early 1960s, anime has blossomed into one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the world. Originating in Japan as comic books and magazines, and going on to animated forms, the series of incredible stories developed with various characters, their life and growth have attracted fans around the entire planet, both young and old.

Anime is, of course, an abbreviation of the word "animation." There are a wide variety of artistic styles in anime because it depends on the specific style of the artist or studio and what they create in their own imagination. In many series, the characters have large, round eyes and big hair but this isn't always the case.

Anime is divided into different forms determined by the group that they're being aimed and other things. Shônen is a genre that is aimed particularly at younger male audiences, usually around early adolescence or younger. Shôjo is the exact opposite of Shônen, meaning it's aimed at girls rather than boys.
Mecha mainly speaks for itself. Based off the Japanese word for mechanical, mecha anime and manga revolves around pilots and their machines. Sentai is a genre devoted to a group of heroes that work together to defeat the bad guy or evil. Seinen is the older brother to the Shônen genre of anime and manga in the sense that it is aimed at older male audiences (up to young adults). And lastly is the Hentai, hentai genre is considered to be pornographic material outright in the U.S, while some anime in the genre is simply just perverted.

I believe that watching anime can have both positive and negative effect for those who watch it. The positive effect would be, relieving your boredom, giving you happiness for a certain period of time, make new friends who share same passion as you. And the negative effect would be, lack of sleep and spending most of your time in anime rather than doing more important things like doing your school works.
