Anime addiction
Starting in the early 1960s, anime has blossomed into one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the world. Originating in Japan as comic books and magazines, and going on to animated forms, the series of incredible stories developed with various characters, their life and growth have attracted fans around the entire planet, both young and old.
Anime is, of course, an abbreviation of the word "animation." There are a wide variety of artistic styles in anime because it depends on the specific style of the artist or studio and what they create in their own imagination. In many series, the characters have large, round eyes and big hair but this isn't always the case.
Anime is divided into different forms determined by the group that they're being aimed and other things. Shônen is a genre that is aimed particularly at younger male audiences, usually around early adolescence or younger. Shôjo is the exact opposite of Shônen, meaning it's aimed at girls rather than boys.
Mecha mainly speaks for itself. Based off the Japanese word for mechanical, mecha anime and manga revolves around pilots and their machines. Sentai is a genre devoted to a group of heroes that work together to defeat the bad guy or evil. Seinen is the older brother to the Shônen genre of anime and manga in the sense that it is aimed at older male audiences (up to young adults). And lastly is the Hentai, hentai genre is considered to be pornographic material outright in the U.S, while some anime in the genre is simply just perverted.
I believe that watching anime can have both positive and negative effect for those who watch it. The positive effect would be, relieving your boredom, giving you happiness for a certain period of time, make new friends who share same passion as you. And the negative effect would be, lack of sleep and spending most of your time in anime rather than doing more important things like doing your school works.
